The Fund Raising Committee is tasked with planning and organizing all methods for increasing revenues for the Club through special events, fund raising campaigns and for soliciting funds or bequests from donors.
There is a 3-point plan for fund-raising:
  1. member-based activities, events and merchandise sales
  2. corporate-based campaign and corporate rowing
  3. community-based through granting organizations and service clubs
Member-based events will generally have a rowing or a social focus to them. Current projects underway include:
  • Tops & Bottoms Regatta (Saturday August 19th )
  • sale of t-shirts, sweatshirts, unisuits and jackets
A marketing presentation and strategies is under development in order to pursue the both the corporate sector and service clubs.
Volunteers are needed to support all of these endeavours. Successful fund-raising means maintaining membership fees at the lowest possible level while ensuring the programs and equipment we need.
