Rowers value a good Coxswain - they are an integral part of any crew. Being in control of 2,000 pounds of carbon fibre, wood, aluminum, flesh and bone requires self-confidence, a quick mind, and a steady hand. Coxing is a great way to develop leadership skills that last a lifetime.

  • Training Times: Dependent on program group.
  • Membership: April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 - $125 + HST

Ready to Register:

Before you register, remember that rowing is a water sport so you must be able to swim. All participants must hold a 'Swim To Survive' certificate or equivalent (roll into deep water, tread water for 1minute, swim 50 metres). You do not have to produce the certificate. However, when registering with Rowing Canada you will be signing a waiver declaring that you are capable of swimming and treading water. If you are not a strong swimmer and are unsure of your swimming ability, we recommend that you schedule a test at a local Mississauga swimming pool.

There are two steps to registering at the Don Rowing Club:

1. Register with the Don Rowing Club on ClubWorks

To register, click on the "ClubWorks Club Membership" button in the top-right corner of this page. Create an account, and then purchase the appropriate 'package' for the session of your choice.

 2. Register with Rowing Canada

After the payment has been made on ClubWorks for your desired session, please proceed to the Rowing Canada wesbite (using the link below) to register with Rowing Canada and be added to our insurance policy - there is no aditional cost for this step.
