Youth Learn to Row

Whether your goal is to have an enjoyable time on the water this summer or to begin your Olympic journey, rowing is the sport for you! Our dedicated team of Learn-to-Row Coaches will teach basic rowing techniques, individual skill development and safe boat-handling skills.

This program is for youth 13 - 16 years of age. No previous rowing experience is required. All participants must hold a 'Swim to Survive' certificate or equivalent (roll into deep water, tread water for 1 minute, swim 50 meters).

Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing, and bring sunscreen, sunhat and a water bottle. All participants are invited to participate in the club’s Tony Fooks Regatta on Saturday August 17, 2013. After successfully completing the rowing camp, youth who wish to continue rowing may join the Junior Competitive program.
