Member Responsibilities for the 2008 Regatta Season: Please click on the following link and find out what your responsibilities are as we compete in and attend the 2008 summer and fall racing season. Whether you are a competitive member at every age level, row for UTM or a Recreational member who wants to compete at some other regattas beside Tops and Bottoms, you should read this. It clearly sets out how we conduct ourselves at regattas, how we get there and back and states criteria for member-funded events. Lets all follow this policy so that we are all clear on who does what and when so that our lives and the lives of our Head Coach and program coaches are made much simpler.

Rent our Tank: Our rowing tank is available for rent over the winter for reasonable rates. If your crew is interested, please contact Vaclav Honsa, e-mail: vaclav.honsa@donrowingclub.com or telephone: 905-567-5658.
Please see the DRC Waiver and Assumption of Risk.

2007 Board of Directors: Congratulations to the new members of the DRC board and welcome back to the returning members. Click here for a list of the board members and their contact information.

DRC Needs You!: Don Rowing Club is a volunteer organization: our club is only as good as we make it. And whether you row rec or comp, being good on the water requires a lot of support off the water as well! Please offer your time, your energy, your talents, and any products or services to which you have access to make 2008 a great year for all of us! Together we're better!

Don't know what to do? Check out DRC's Club Committees, and Fund-Raising Events to see where you can contribute - whether for ongoing or limited involvements. Some of the activities are rowing-related as we prepare for Rowing Camps, dock launching, and the new membership year - other activities support the club through marketing and communications, social events and fund-raising for new equipment. We need talents of every type and description. Consider the benefits: helping to build a stronger club, with nice folks who like to row .

Fund-Raising: Membership fees cover the operating costs of the club. Money raised through fund-raising activities help to cover capital costs - most notably boats. We need boats, therefore we need to fund-raise. We intend to raise funds both externally and internally to keep our fleet in top shape. Remember donations are tax-deductible!

Look out for fund-raising activities throughout the year. We will try to make them fun, and for the most part, rowing-related. Help is needed with all fund-raising activities.

If your company offers sponsorships - either for events or programs - we need to talk. We are able to direct funds to particular programs and provide sponsor recognition in a variety of ways.

Please contact Roelof Makken at 416-253-9754 or roelof.makken@ternanalytics.com

Club Committees: We have five formal Committees and who need support, enthusiasm and skills to manage the on and off water operations of the Club and its great facility. Other Committees, like the Social Committee need members to help in making the Club a great place to row at and enjoy. Marketing and Communications need the skill set to make sure we are in the local public's eye. Fund raising takes experience and skill. These Committees continue to look for new members who will help the Club to reach its potential. All members are encouraged to consider how they can support the Club and contact a Committee Chair to get involved. Click here for current information and representation on all Club Committees .
