Row for Heart
Row for Heart is a partnership program between the Don Rowing Club of Mississauga and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Rowing is a perfect sport for all ages as it is a low-impact aerobic activity. This program is geared towards people over the age of 16. It does not require any previous experience however it would serve as an excellent refresher for those who have some rowing background and wish to return to the sport. During the seven weeks participants will learn the basics of rowing with coaches focusing on individual skill development. The program culminates with the Row for Heart Regatta on Sunday June 28 -- a fun-filled day of spirited competition. Participants are requested to raise pledges in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. As a safety precaution participants must be able to swim unassisted.
